Kidd and The Heat

Jason Kidd retired from the NBA yesterday after 19 seasons in the league. This comes a week after Grant Hill retired. The two of them shared the Rookie of the Year award in 1994-1995.

To me J-Kidd will always be the guy who helped bring the Nets to the playoffs for 6 straight years, and get them to 50 wins for the first time (along with Kerry Kittles, Keith Van Horn and K-Mart of course).

He should be a shoo-in to the HoF when the time comes, with his Assists pushing him thru.

On a side note, the Miami Heat won game 7 last night, and will face off against the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals. Miami is looking for their second straight title.

This could be redemption for Lebron James, who lost in 7 games to the Spurs in 2007, while with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
